If you’re looking into meal delivery for yourself or someone you care for, you’re in the right place. Meals on Wheels London delivers fresh, hot meals and frozen bundles to the doors of seniors and adults with disabilities across London, Ontario — seven days a week. Here’s exactly what registration involves, what it costs, and what to expect.

Is Meal Delivery Right for You?

Before registering, here’s a quick check. Meals on Wheels London serves:

  1. Seniors 55 and older living in London, Ontario or Middlesex County
  2. Adults 18 and older with a disability, living in the same area
  3. People who need short-term help — recovering from surgery, caregiver taking a break, a difficult season
  4. People who need long-term support to stay independent at home

No doctor’s referral is needed. No financial disclosure is required to register — though subsidies are available if you qualify.

If you’re mainly looking for occasional meal pickup and don’t need home delivery, the Last Minute Meals / Cash & Carry option doesn’t require registration.

What Does Meal Delivery Cost?

Fresh meals are $8.95 per meal. Frozen bundles are $46 per package of 7 meals. Income-based subsidies are available — new rates took effect January 1, 2026. You don’t need to disclose income at registration; the subsidy conversation happens separately if you want it.

What Meals Are Available?

Fresh Daily Meals

Hot meals prepared daily by Youth Opportunities Unlimited youth and a Red Seal Chef. Delivered Monday to Friday, 11:00 am – 1:30 pm. Weekend meals delivered chilled on Friday. Minimum: five meals to start.

Frozen Meal Bundles

70+ frozen meal options across seven dietary types — low-sodium, pureed, diabetic-friendly, halal-certified, and more. Delivered Thursday mornings. Minimum: one package of seven meals to start.

You can choose one or both programs. Many clients do both.

Q: Do I need a referral to sign up for Meals on Wheels in London?

No referral is needed. Register online or call 519-660-1430. A doctor, social worker, or family member can also register on your behalf.

Q: How long does it take to start receiving meals after I register?

Most new clients receive their first delivery within the same week registration is completed. If your need is urgent, call 519-660-1430 and we’ll do our best to start sooner.

Q: Is there a waitlist?

Meals on Wheels London does not have waitlists.

Q: Can someone register on behalf of a senior family member?

Absolutely. Family members, caregivers, and support workers register on behalf of clients regularly. Have the client’s address, contact information, and dietary needs ready when you fill out the form or call.

Q: What if I only need meals for a few weeks?

That’s completely fine. No long-term commitment is required. Many clients use Meals on Wheels London during recovery from surgery or while a caregiver is away, then pause. You can restart anytime without re-registering.
